Community Involvement

Allfirst’s mission is to be actively improving the quality of life in our community through direct financial support, volunteer contributions to local organizations and by participating in public service activities.  Allfirst strives to be a dynamic partner because we believe it will raise the social and economic well-being, strengthen ties and better position us to reach out and serve our community.

Allfirst has participated in multiple public service activities throughout the years including the following:

Since 2000, Allfirst and its employees have contributed over $300,000 to charitable organizations and countless hours of volunteer time.

 

ALLFIRST MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Congratulations to our first Allfirst Scholarship Award recipients Sydney Gay, daughter of Cris & Mary Gay, and Kaitlyn Evans, daughter of Dave & Mary Evans.  Each student received a $1,000 scholarship.  2017 Applications will be accepted starting in February.  

ROC SOLID FOUNDATION

Allfirst employees have given Roc Solid over 340 hours of volunteer time in 2016 and have participated in multiple playground builds, room/home remodels, and Roc the Ride.  

FOOD DRIVE & FAMILY VOLUNTEER DAY

The 2016 food drive was a huge success.  We made our goal of 400 boxes of mac and cheese.  The collection of mac and cheese was brought to Family Volunteer Day.  There we packed and delivered over 900 boxes of food for 12 local shelters in our area. 

HEARTCHASE - AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION

Allfirst employees and vendors raised a record breaking $3,334 for the American Heart Association.  HeartChase is a team based relay, where your team goes from one checkpoint to another to complete a heart pumping activity.  Les Hall’s team won the coveted Spirit Award!  Be on the lookout for more info regarding the next HeartChase event in early spring 2017.

UNITED WAY

The United Way awarded Allfirst the coveted and the rare Gold Trailblazer Award for reaching all 3 criteria goals for 2016.  The goals are: Participation of at least 60%, Per Capita gift of $75 per person, and an average gift of $150 per person.  It’s not too late to get your pledges in for 2017.

ROARING 20 AWARD

The Roaring 20 Award honors Hampton Roads most dynamic businesses based on revenue and employee growth.  The award recognizes the region’s fastest growing companies that are making significant contributions to our local economy.  Allfirst was a recipient of the 2016 Roaring 20 Award.
