COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Allfirst’s mission is to actively improve the quality of life in our community through direct financial support, volunteer contributions to local organizations, and by participating in public service activities. Allfirst strives to be a dynamic partner because we believe it will raise social and economic well-being, strengthen ties, and better position us to reach out and serve our community.

Allfirst has participated in multiple public service activities throughout the years including the following:

Since 2000, Allfirst and its employees have contributed over $1,000,000 to charitable organizations and countless hours of volunteer time.

ALLFIRST MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Congratulations to our 2023 Allfirst Scholarship Award recipient Cale Roggie, son of Gene Roggie. Cale received a $1,000 scholarship. 2024 Applications will be accepted starting in February. Click Here to Apply

ROC SOLID FOUNDATION

Allfirst employees have given Roc Solid over 2,550 hours of volunteer time within the last 6 years and have participated in multiple playground builds, room/home remodels, and Roc the Ride.

Roc the Ride is a four-day, 270-mile cycling trip to raise awareness for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. James Templeton has participated 2 years in a row. James and the other team members cycled from Washington DC to Richmond and then to Norfolk.

FOOD DRIVE

The 2023 food drive was a huge success. Allfirst employees provided the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia with over 2,000 meals.

BACK TO SCHOOL DRIVE

Allfirst partnered with Volunteer Hampton Roads to provide school supplies to teachers in need for the Teachers Closet School Supply Drive. We helped provide over 200 hardworking teachers with one giant bag filled with school supplies. Allfirst Adopted an Early Childhood Education Classroom in Virginia Beach. Employees updated the play area and helped set up the classroom for the new school year.

UNITED WAY

The United Way awarded Allfirst the Silver Trailblazer Award for reaching 2 of 3 criteria goals. The goals are: Participation of at least 60%, Per Capita gift of $75 per person, and an average gift of $150 per person.

YMCA OF SOUTH HAMPTON ROADS

James Templeton was part of a YMCA of South Hampton Roads group that beat the world record for the longest cycling session, setting it at 25 hours and 15 minutes. The event raised money to give local kids swimming lessons. They raised enough donations to give about 2,500 kids swimming lessons.

FAMILY VOLUNTEER DAY

Allfirst sponsored and helped assemble 200 Disaster Relief Hygiene Kits at the Volunteer Hampton Roads Family Volunteer Day. Over 800 people show up to help with various community service projects for the Hampton Roads community.

Allfirst builds handicap ramp for local Wounded Warrior.
